Estil Wallace, Co-Founder and Customer Success at UnDelay, was gearing up to launch their new landing page builder and knew that in order to be effective, they needed a strong automation platform to help drive new leads.
At first, UnDelay used Followr and Crowdfire together as a way to interact with prospects on Twitter, but once they came across Socedo, the two apps were quickly replaced by the platform.
“We’re looking at ManageFlitter as a possible addition to Socedo, but we’ve been hard pressed to find any social prospecting tool that compares to Socedo,” said Estil.
With the help of Socedo, UnDelay was able to find digital marketing agencies to join their private beta program, with 299 from Socedo alone.
Strategizing the Call to Action
UnDelay found various ways to alternate their CTA’s with Socedo. They either focused on generating leads from live demos of their software or driving traffic towards their landing page, so leads could learn more and sign up.
Their main tactic was testing out different messaging strategies and figuring out which made customers want to click on their link. Fortunately, the B2B crowd that UnDelay targeted was substantial, and even though their criteria needed to be altered every so often, they found a pretty good mix of what worked for them.
They started targeting people who worked in the digital marketing industry and developed a list of bio and conversational keywords that included negative keywords for people who worked for their competitors.
When it came to geo targeting, they went after the five biggest English speaking countries and then tested out European countries where English was fairly prevalent.
Over the last 90 days, Socedo generated traffic that converted 1.22% higher than all other sources combined. UnDelay’s bounce rate on Socedo-generated traffic is also 9.88% lower than all the other traffic sources combined. They added 299 new people to their private beta program from Socedo.
“Socedo is by far the most effective social prospecting tool we’ve ever used. The beauty of Socedo is that it doesn’t just deliver targeted traffic (which it does very well), it also simultaneously grows our Twitter audience with highly relevant followers,” said Estil.
Additionally, over the last 90 days, UnDelay’s cost per click using Socedo is $0.78, with conversion rates ranging from around 4% on the low end and 25% on the high end.
A Thing or Two About Landing Pages
How did UnDelay drive such a high conversion rate? In the words of Estil, a landing page expert, “When it comes to landing pages, make sure the CTA is simple and clear. It’s best if you can narrow it down to one action you want your visitors to take.”
“You need to pay attention to the mobile version of your landing page because mobile pages typically convert 60-70% lower than desktops, so it’s critical to offer your mobile visitors an experience that’s tailored for them.”
“The biggest advice is to always test. Testing is the fastest road to higher conversion rates!”
