The conversion tracking we created helps you see how effectively your DM clicks lead to valuable customer activity on your website, whether is is a download, sign-up, or form submission.
How this works
Conversion tracking may be new to you, but don’t worry. We’ll help you understand how it works and why you should be just as jazzed about it as we are! For starters, conversion tracking for websites allows you to measure your ROI by tracking the actions visitors take after clicking the link in your DM. All links in DMs sent through Socedo will now be shortened using unique Socedo tracking links starting with soce.do. Before conversion tracking, the insight we had on lead activity stopped at the link click. But now we can take that information even further than our automated workflow to know if your lead completed the customer journey.
The best part of this new feature is that you get to control what you define as a conversion. To set up this improved tracking system, simply log into your Socedo account and follow these instructions. It starts by installing a customized “tracking pixel” on your website’s conversion page. Once installed, the pixel will signal Socedo each time a lead reaches the conversion page. Once the pixel is signaled, Socedo will gather information about the actions that lead takes on your website. Most importantly, it will tell you whether they converted!
Let’s say, for example, that you want a viewer to register for a trial of your product. Using conversion tracking you can put a tracking pixel on the confirmation page after a person signs up. When a user makes it to that page, the pixel reports back to Socedo that the registration has occurred. And voila! Your first conversion has been recorded!
In addition to the new conversion tracking, Socedo will now be able to tell you much more about the customer journey.
Unlike other conversion tracking systems, Socedo’s is unique because we will be able to tell you which leads converted and when. This data will be included in the Enhanced Data Exports that you can then integrate into your existing marketing automation and CRM systems.
In addition to knowing who converted, conversion tracking will be able to tell you which DM templates are converting the most leads. This data will be recorded on your Reports page – similar to the example below – to help you further optimize your messaging so you can bring more leads down your sales funnel.
Finally, the new Socedo tracking link will provide you with in-depth data on which keywords are converting more leads. In the lifetime criteria report there is now a new column that tells you how many people have converted for each keyword. This adds more value to your Socedo leads because it will help you optimize which bio keywords and conversational keywords turn out to be qualified leads.
