You’ve tested Socedo’s 14-day free trial. You’ve seen great results, and you’re ready to ramp up your account as a new customer of Socedo. Now what?
Once you’ve made the decision that investing in Socedo is the best move for your business, we now welcome you as a valuable customer. This is the moment that you are instantly connected to one of our Customer Success Managers, whose responsibility is to make you successful while using our platform.
Meet Nate Strong, one of our Customer Success Managers and an all-around Socedo rock star. It’s Nate’s job to provide the best tips and tricks for our customers, old and new, to become successful while using Socedo. Nate has been in the game for a while and knows all about helping customers reach their full potential, so he’s excited to share some advice on how to do so!
Getting to Know the Customer
Nate starts out by asking about the customer’s business, what they do, how they do it and get a feel from the voice of the customer. The next step is to get a sense of what the customer’s goals are, which is where he begins advising. If you have an ROI number, or something that will help you prove ROI from Socedo, let Nate know at this point – and be clear. We have a lot of levers that we can pull to make sure that we’re providing that value to you in the best way possible.
He then establishes a monthly check-in schedule with customers. This gives people a chance to ask any questions, voice complaints, suggest improvements or ask for help. At this point, customers can get quite creative.
Taking Advantage of Socedo
By using Managed Services, for an additional $100 per month, customers can have Socedo’s team approve and decline leads for them. They follow a very inbound strategy – which means that they do very wide approvals. This can allow customers to focus on testing and improving their criteria and DM’s while the team approves prospects everyday.
Nate’s second piece of advice is to have a good landing page. Using Socedo’s suggestions and webinar to build good landing pages will help customers in the long run! A good landing page will improve conversions from all channels, not just with Socedo.
Third, use the export feature (the most valuable feature of Socedo!). Socedo takes everyone that follows you back and appends as much data as we can to those records, including email addresses. How each customer decides to use this data to follow up with their leads is up to them, but some of our most successful customers are funneling leads into segmented nurture programs. Nate can help you strategize for your business.
Finally, test, check and test again. Socedo gives you access to data on the Reports page. If you don’t see what you want, let Nate know. He can work with the Socedo team to run some queries and find the data you need. The more the customer tests and checks, the better results they will get
The Common Problems
Not having a clear goal – If you don’t have a goal, it’s hard for us to help you hit it. The clearer you are, the better we can work with you to help achieve it within our platform. Clear marketing and sales goals will also help with growing as a business.
Turning on/turning off marketing channels – One month is not enough time to figure out a marketing program. Three months is scratching the surface. Every marketing program has a ramp-up time, so throwing money at something for a couple months is actually just throwing money away. These platforms are meant to build on their history, testing and the ramp-up period.
Not trusting our data – At Socedo, we sleep, eat, and breathe social media lead generation. We’ve run a lot of reports on a lot of different aspects. Trust the suggestions that we have, because we want to make you successful, and we’ve proven that most of our suggestions will work.
What to do after lead generation – There are so many different ways for you to follow up with your leads. The best is obviously in a marketing automation platform, pushing leads into Marketo or Hubspot, with which Socedo has direct integrations. However, even Mailchimp has some great features that allow follow up.
Typically the best workflow is: engage with Socedo > send to a landing page > send data to marketing automation/email manager > run a nurture workflow with more content > ask for meetings > close the sale.
However, every business is unique, and there’s room for customization. Talk to your Customer Success Manager – they will work with you to build these workflows
We Are Here for YOU
As a Customer Success Manager, Nate uses emails, Socedo’s in-app messaging system, Skype, Slack, text messages and join.me to communicate with customers. If customers can find him online, that is the best way to reach out to him. Standard customers or above will have a scheduled monthly call to check in, so no worries, he will find you.
