Joynture provides co-working spaces for startups, freelancers and consultants in the Financial District of New York City. When their community manager, Michelle Bonavitacola, came to us to start an account, she was skeptical at best. She wasn’t a huge Twitter user herself, and was unconvinced that Socedo could possibly bring in any leads for Joynture, let alone any of value.
We were all too happy to prove Bonavitacola wrong.
Because Joynture’s target market is so specific (both geographically and industry-wise), we had no trouble gleaning the Twitter database for specific candidates that fit their ideal customer base.
Joynture’s needs were specific (to fill rental space in the NYC’s Financial District), so their DM had to be unique. After speaking to our customer success reps, Bonavitacola decided on the following:
“Hi, [First_Name], digging your tweets. Just wondering if you’re looking for coworking space downtown. We’re a great new space in the Financial District and would love to have you here! Do you want to reserve a spot?”
After one month using Socedo, Joynture saw a 31% response rate to her DMs, all of which were positive responses.
“I don’t think there’s one person who received our DM that thought it was an automated message.”
Most of those who responded either stated interest or said they didn’t need space right now, but would spread the word. Some people even asked for a templated email they could send to clients who might be in need of space.
Joynture was not just growing their Twitter following through Socedo, they were building a community of entrepreneurs in the Financial District. But of course what Joynture looked at first was the ROI of Socedo, and that proved to be incredibly positive.
In addition to a number of desks and small spaces rented through Socedo engagement, Joynture was able to nurture one DM into an email correspondence, then a personal tour, and finally into their most valuable client to date.
In fact, within just 30 days of using our app, Joynture’s spaces are very nearly at capacity.
“We’ve never had this many offices occupied since we opened in July of 2014. This is the first time we’ve had this many spaces taken. There are only three spaces left. Socedo has changed our trajectory for growth.”
With so many delighted customers, Joynture noted that they will soon hit capacity, which is the best possible problem for their business to have.
“We are already looking into other locations and are changing the focus [of Socedo campaigns] from clients to media press in order to get the word out about new locations when they come about,” Bonavitacola said.
Joynture’s use of Socedo helped gain more followers, personal contacts, and clients. Now, they’re focused on nurturing relationships attained through DM’s and continuing to optimize campaigns based on Socedo’s reporting and analytics.
So if you’re still a skeptic of Socedo, we hope you’ll try us out for yourself. You’ll never be so happy to be proven wrong!
